Paris Geller Sweater in Die Jerk

I’ve been binge watching the Gilmore Girls for a while now and whilst watching episode 8 from season 4, “Die Jerk” I got obsessed with this sweater that Paris Geller was wearing. I have a lot of random colours that I thought might go well for this project and got a few screenShots of the jumper itself and then found an outline pattern from another Ravelry user’s project: maikinchen’s Paris Geller Sweater (you'll need to log in to Ravelry to see this)
Using TECHknitting's Jogless stripes - pretty picture version for jogless stripes and the russian join as the yarn is very slippery and I worry when I wear this I’ll accidentally let it unravel.

My Version:

Gilmore Girls: Season 4 Episode 8 die jerk, 20 mins in

Yarn: king cole smooth dk

Hook: 3.75mm

Needles: 4mm

Crochet Section
Row 1: With Spearmint green, Foundation treble crochet 126 stitches and join (eventually looks like 42 shells)
Row 2: lemon, join, granny crochet shells with no chain stitches between shells, raglan increase for arm holes at 8 shells, 13 shells, 8 shells, 13 shells (46 shells)
Row 3: aqua, join increase at corners (50 shells)
Row 4: pewter, join, increase at corners (54 shells)
Row 5:rose, join increase at corners (58 shells)
Row 6: Sky, join increase at corners (62 shells)
Row 7: aqua join increase at corners (66 shells)
Row 8: pewter, join increase at corners (70 shells)
Row 9: lemon, join increase at corners (74 shells)
Row 10: rose, join increase at corners (78 shells)
Row 11: spearmint, join increase at corners (82 shells)
Row 12: aqua, join, work round, no increases (82 shells)

It was at this point I tried it on to see how this fitted around the neckline and realised it was a little too broad for my liking so I added 2 more granny rows to the neck (pewter, then sky), then added a row of (HTR, HTR2tog) around and a last row of HTR around (85 stitches) both in spearmint. This gave it a more rounded and smaller neckline

Row 13: spearmint, work to the first corner and foundation treble crochet 3 more and join to next corner, this will form the first sleeve with 19 shells:

Break yarn. Join at next corner and repeat to form the second sleeve.
Finally, join the yarn at one corner and work round in the granny squares until you get to the first extended section in the sleeve, work each stitch as individual treble crochet stitches and then continue on in the granny pattern until the second sleeve is reached, repeating the process of crocheting in the individual stitches. This will form the body and hopefully mean that you don’t end up with holey armpits!
